The church plant in La Siberia is a new endeavor by the church in Charalá. La Siberia is officially a barrio of Charala; however, it is a 15-20 minute walk to get there. Most of the people in the barrio do not have cars, and the people even comment about having to “travel to Charala.” There are between 300 and 400 people in the barrio. These individuals generally don’t go into the town in the evening due to the dangers of having to walk home in the dark. There is no other church in the area to provide for their spiritual needs.
With all this in mind, much prayer, and the urging of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jhon and the leadership decided to start a church here. The building shown here, which is reneted, will be able to have about 40 people attend services. the idea is to start here and eventually find a piece of land to build a shell.
