Project Mana focuses on children between the ages of 5 and 13 along with their parents. It seeks to provide food, nutrition services, health monitoring, as well as training to those in need.
As of September, 2016, project Mana was still going strong. There are 54 children enrolled currently with many more on the waiting list. In addition to the basic services that have been mentioned above, we have discovered that there is a need for counseling. We are looking to implement a basic counseling service for the children and their families.
This year, we did see a substantial increase in the costs associated with the foundation; costs rose by about 33%, preventing us from adding more children. We are looking at various ways of countering these costs. We have begun with selling baked goods, which brings in about 200,000 pesos per month, and English clases which adds another 400,000 pesos per month. While both of these items help with costs, we are looking for more supporters.
If you are able, please consider donating to this incredible cause.
